Source: Cymbopogon nardus is mainly grown in Sri Lanka.

Extraction: Citronella essential oil is obtained by steam distillation.

Aroma: Citronella essential oil has a fresh, sweet and citrus scent.

Fragrance note: Top.

Properties: Citronella essential oil is used in aromatherapy to awaken the senses, balance the skin and is an effective insect repellent.

Uses: Massage, baths, may be added to base emollient and vaporisation.

Blends well with: Geranium, Lavender, Lime, Orange, Peppermint and Pine.

Caution: Always dilute Citronella essential oil to less than 5% before application to the skin.
